Dato’ Seri Abdul Rahman Maidin
Dato’ Seri Abdul Rahman Maidin’s educational background and lifelong passion is in public Health. Through this prism he has led and managed many enterprises in Malaysia and Internationally, in the field of investment and management of financial institutions, infrastructure, and resource-related industries.
Rahman has been President of The Malaysian National Chambers of Commerce, President of ASEAN Chamber of Commerce, Vice president Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Organisation of Islamic Countries ( OIC) during his career. He was also a Trustee of the Financial Reporting Foundation, Ministry of Finance Malaysia, and a Council Member of the Malaysian National Economic Action Council (NEAC).
On the Business Advisory Council, United Nations for Project Services and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) he advised on programmes of global importance.
He was previously Honorary Consul to the Republic of South Africa in Penang Malaysia.
